Ready for change, but feeling stuck?

Personalised clinical hypnosis in Malvern East, Melbourne

You may understand your patterns. You may have spent years reflecting, learning and trying to do things differently.

Yet in certain moments, the familiar response takes over.

You say yes when you want to say no. You put off something that matters. You return to an unwanted habit or find yourself in another relationship that feels painfully familiar.

Knowing what you want to change and feeling able to change it can be two different experiences.

My work supports you in exploring that gap—helping you develop greater choice, self-trust and practical ways to respond differently.

You may recognise yourself here...

“I know what I need to do, but I can’t seem to follow through.”
You have intentions and goals, yet avoidance, doubt or familiar habits keep getting in the way.

“I keep repeating the same relationship patterns.”
You want connection without losing yourself, over-accommodating or questioning your own needs.

“I put everyone else first.”
Setting boundaries feels uncomfortable, and guilt can pull you back into saying yes.

“I keep returning to a habit I want to change.”
You want to understand what triggers the behaviour and develop other ways to respond.

“I feel lost.”
Something needs to change, but you’re unsure what you want or how to begin.

“I don’t trust myself.”
You second-guess your decisions and look outside yourself for reassurance.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before asking for support.

What is clinical hypnosis?

Hypnosis involves focused attention, often accompanied by relaxation and an increased capacity to engage with imagery and suggestion.

Within a therapeutic session, it can be used to explore responses, rehearse alternatives and support goals we have agreed on together.

You can speak, ask questions, decline a suggestion or stop the process. You do not need to surrender your judgement or share anything you are not ready to discuss.

Experiences vary. Some people notice deep relaxation; others feel attentive and engaged throughout.

How we work together

Understand what keeps happening

We begin with your current concerns, relevant history and what you would like to be different.

Rather than assuming every difficulty has the same cause, we explore your individual circumstances, triggers, expectations and the role a familiar response may play in your life.

Agree on meaningful goals

Change becomes easier to recognise when we describe it clearly.

Your goal might be to pause before automatically agreeing, approach a task you have been avoiding, or respond differently in a difficult conversation.

Together, we identify changes that matter to you.

Personalise the session

Where hypnosis is suitable, I tailor the session to your goals, preferences and responses.

This may involve guided imagery, focused attention and suggestions that support the changes you want to practise. I explain the approach and seek your agreement before we proceed.

Bring the work into everyday life

We connect the session with manageable actions you can practise between appointments.

We review what changes, what remains difficult and whether the approach continues to meet your needs.

My approach

I’m Sonia Bellucci.

I bring a warm, thoughtful and collaborative approach to working with people who feel caught between wanting change and repeating familiar responses.

I am interested in your experience: what happens in the moments you feel stuck, what you have already tried and what meaningful progress would look like for you.

Your beliefs, preferences and boundaries matter. We work at a pace you agree to, with room for questions and honest feedback throughout.

Clinical hypnosis appointments have a defined focus and an agreed approach. If you are interested in my broader integrative work, you can explore Sonia’s Signature Healing — The Bellucci Method™ separately.

What progress might look like

Progress is individual. Depending on your goals, we may look for changes such as:

  • Recognising a familiar response sooner.

  • Having more space to choose what you do next.

  • Following through on a manageable action.

  • Expressing a need or boundary more clearly.

  • Responding to a setback with less self-criticism.

  • Feeling more confident in your own decisions.

Hypnosis does not guarantee a particular outcome or number of sessions. We review your experience together and adjust the plan where appropriate.

Is this approach right for you?

An initial appointment gives us an opportunity to explore your needs and whether my training and approach are a suitable fit.

Hypnosis may be part of a wider care plan. With your consent, collaboration with your GP or another treating professional may be appropriate.

For substance dependence, withdrawal concerns or more complex mental health needs, medical or specialist support may be required. Hypnosis does not replace withdrawal management or necessary medical treatment.

If another service would better meet your needs, I will discuss that with you.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose control?

You can communicate, decline suggestions and ask to stop. We discuss the process beforehand so you can make an informed decision about participating.

Do I have to revisit painful memories?

Revisiting painful experiences is not a requirement. We can focus on present concerns and the responses you want to develop. Any discussion of your history is guided by relevance, suitability and your consent.

What if I don’t relax deeply?

Deep relaxation is not a test you need to pass. People experience hypnosis differently, and we can discuss what you notice without pressure to have a particular experience.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your goals, circumstances and response. We agree on an initial plan and review progress rather than promising a fixed timeline.

Do I need to know why I feel stuck?

No. You can begin by describing what is happening and what you would like to be different. We do not need to assume or uncover a hidden cause to set useful goals.

Let’s explore your next step

You may have a clear goal, or simply know that a familiar pattern is costing you more than you want to keep giving it.

An initial appointment is a place to explore your options and decide whether working together feels appropriate.
